1. Bring along your workout equipment, a computer, and your workout DVDs
What I like about at home workouts, is that they require little to no equipment and for the most part, you can travel with everything and play them on your computer. Of course you can't be lugging weights around in your suitcase, so grab a resistance band. Resistance bands weigh practically nothing and are for all fitness levels you can get them from 2-20lbs resistance.
These workouts require very little space so you can do them easily in your hotel room. If you're staying at someone's house/renting a place etc. make use of any empty room or the garage...or if the weather's nice, take it outside!
2. Staying in a hotel? Make use of the gym
Make use of your hotel's gym. Every hotel gym has at least the basics so get in some interval training on the treadmill, lift some weights, squat it out, and do some push-ups!
Don't forget the most important, healthiest meal of the day! If you travel a lot, think about buying the Shakeology on-the-go packets instead of the bulk bag....either way, don't forget it! If you're going to a place where you'll have access to a kitchen, bring along your magic bullet (so small and easy to pack away) and either purchase or bring along your almond milk. If you're not traveling far, put your almond milk in a reusable tote with a little ice pack. If you're traveling on the road and/or won't have access to a kitchen, your mixer cup is quick and easy. Pour Shakeology in your cup and mix with either water or almond milk and you're done!
If you're not traveling far, pack away yogurts, PB, granola, nuts, hummus, almond milk, and fresh fruit and keep them over a little ice pack. If traveling a bit further, pack some fruit and nut bars, protein bars clementines, and a banana. I love to get my morning started out with a cup of coffee and a protein bar to help me power thru my workout.
If you're on a plane or riding in the car, bring along some motivating magazines or book for your down time. Not only will you keep yourself motivated by reading health and fitness magazines, you'll probably learn some new exercises too!
You can't forget the most important part, a workout outfit and your tennis shoes. If you plan to do some outdoor activities make sure you bring shoes with good support, not running shoes. Pack a couple of outfits and bring along a pullover, if you're outdoors you may get chilly.
